Canada backs energy reforms, ceasefire role

Federal Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari met with Canadian High Commissioner Tarik Ali Khan to discuss energy sector cooperation and investment opportunities, according to an official statement on Wednesday. During the meeting, the high commissioner appreciated Pakistan's role in promoting a ceasefire amid recent US-Israel-Iran tensions and thanked the government. Leghari urged Canada to play an active role in ensuring lasting peace in the region.
